Just wondered how many window cleaning companys are their in the uk ?

I'm talking genuine window cleaners that pay tax ect  ??? ???

I spoke to Brad Monks (from WCP) about this a while ago. His responce was:

"I am sure my research a few years ago estimated 180k businesses of 2 or more operatives"

are you sure it's not 20,000, 200,000 would mean 1 in every 150 people would be a window cleaner, sounds alot to me, no wonder there aint any work out there  ;D

how did you work that calculation out? id a rough count and I make it every 310 people

30 million working people in country divided 200 000 is 150

Judging by the number of people who tell me they used to clean windows, I'd have thought 1 in 3 of the population sounds more like it.

In total including the dole boys, i would say over a million, because of commercial work, and i know its a funny comparison, but one of my sons is a dj, and was told that there are approx 250,000 dj in UK, so there will be more than that imo window cleaning
