Blimey how many houses u doing with 650 litres .... I've got same size and lasts me a day with 2 up and still have some left.

If your doing loads of houses fair enough but 650 should be good for about 30 ish ave size houses maybe 22 ish if a lot of 1st cleans.

You could just fast fill through a DI connected to a friendly customers tap but will use resin quite quickly depending on TDS

what pump controller are you using, i have a veristream digital on number 6 and can work all day using 400ltr - 500ltrs
on that setting it enables me to work quickly. Also i have a pole hose tap which i turn on and off between windows which saves water.

Wow! You sure you haven't got a leak. Either that or your work must have large windows or something. I seldom use more than 300ltrs in a day and that's doing most everything WFP and with my pump running flat out. Mind you my work allows me to have a Cleantec trigger valve attached to my pole and that means next to no wastage of water.

i would advise to check for leaks i had on leak from my tap conector that goes onto the hose real and that probley lost 2 houses worth of water a day... also i think you should try and use one of them triggers that attaches to the pole as they will save around 50litres a day.. every tiny little bit of water saved is money saved:)

Hi Paul
I too have a brodex 650 system in my first van and when the round got max'd , it couldnt fill quick enough coz of the low water pressure we got at home, plus as we were taking on lots of first cleans(as you might be) we were going through the pure like you wouldn't believe.
I got so frustrated, that I eventually got(after a careful look at our business plan/model) a static sytem in the garage(self build-NOT brodex I hasten to add-dont go down that route)
Our static system nows runs pretty much 10-12 hours  a day and its enough to fill two 650 vans with spare(its not run at weekends)
It has made a huge difference to the way we work and its a big weight off your mind knowing the van is gonna be full whenever you need it
But,its down to you and how big you think your round(extra vans?) is going to be.I know that we are looking at an even bigger system next year as we plan to add more staff.
The only possible downside-your brodex system wont be being used as per its original purpose as you will be filling from a static(unless you rob the parts off)
Hope that helps :)
Roy

i have a 350L TANK and even on longish days (9am-5pm)i still come home with a bit left in the bottom.i WFP virtually everything apart from the odd bit of trad on some ground floor windows.i do use a flow controller set on 60 and use a aqua-daptor.

when my flow controller wasnt working last year i was out of water by 3pm but it seems to have started working again now!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

Steady on chaps - give the guy a break - we all use water a differing rates - i would say if OP is not using something like an aqua daptor or trigger - do so ! - also move over to fan jets as you can rinse quicker and again save water
( yes i know it's personal pref )

i carry a 1000 ltrs and depending on what we are doing we can use as little as 500 ltrs or as musch as 900 in a day.

if your giving the frames a good once over as well as glass then more water will be used - personally i'd take a high
water useage over call backs and complaints anyday.

depending on how long the op has been wfp'ing will determine his water usage - i reckon i can now clean twice the number of windows ( 3 years wfp ) than i could six months in.

I struggle with a 500 litre tank running out but i am only just starting 1st and second wfp cleans on majority of stuff , i did half a tank nearly on 5 houses on first cleans the other day but i am scrubbing all the frames which are rank from years of doing just glass ...... i will get there , just hoping once everything is clean i can just whizz over it once a month and 500 litres will be enough!
Not earning much either with changing over :(

Is there anything stopping you form getting an IBC so you can produce all day and popping back to fill?  That's the way we run it.  Our lunch break is taken while the van fills (15 minutes - good pump but 40m of 1" pipe slows it ).  Add 15 minutes either way back to base and we average a 45 minute break but more than make it up by cleaning at a high flow.  Also, the break does us good.

wow lots to think of there thanx for all the replies i will be posting all sorts of topics now ,anyway first off ,,my system is actually an e500 not 650 , it has a analouge variable pump control ,and i was told it will run for 8 hours ,so no matter how many precutions i take to save water surely if 2 of us are working we will still only clean for 4 hours max ,i was hoping for some advice on actually carrying more water on van ,someone said to maybe take a couple of barrels and fill up as i clean ,but not sure of that ,,oh and i did say mine was a 650 but checked details and i only went for the e500 anyway sorry to go on ,remember i am a newbie after all thanx everyone you will soon be sick of all my questions so im gonna enjoy it while i can
the more flyers i post , the luckier i seem to get ...

ibc tank at home is defo the way to go, i have a 400 litre tank and a trolley with barrels on my van, can refill my tank totally in 10 minutes from the static system, tank was £50, pump £30 and transfer hose £20 and a tap for transfer hose £24, Total £124 for a home static system, I obviously use the ro that was in the van to purify static tank, Best thing is that your purifying water as your out working, its a win win, Best thing i ever did.

This is another extreme.  9 to 5 and using less than 350 litres? Stop gassing with your customers and get some work done!  ;D
