Hi Guys,

I'm finally at the end of my tether with my Brodex 3yg Hydra poles, nothing but trouble from week one. Can anyone recommend descent poles for me to purchase? Are Gardiners CLX or SLX poles any good?

They are regarded as the best in category by 99.9% of wfp users!

Personally, I'd recommend the SLX over the CLX, it's worth the extra pennies & more. If you want the "ultimate" & probably the best pole in the world, then Gardiners Xtreme is the way to go.

Personally, I'd recommend the SLX over the CLX, it's worth the extra pennies & more. If you want the "ultimate" & probably the best pole in the world, then Gardiners Xtreme is the way to go.

i have only seen two users of gardiners poles in the birmiingham there could be more
but i see most using brodex and ionics,not that im recomending them

maybe you should stick to your own  personal recomendation.

oh yeah if i wasnt happy with my harris and fibre glass extensions i would try
a gardiners pole

Have just got my slx 30 I cant speak highly enough about it. rearly is the very light weight and I am reaching parts other poles dont reach!! Spend the extra for the slx range.
Retired my brodex but cant knock it as it served its purpose and more than paid for it self.

i met a mainly commercial window cleaner the other month who also has never heard of gardiners poles and when i mentioned that they are great light poles he said he wants something "robust" so he sticks with the brodex poles.i said the slx is a good light pole and also "ROBUST".BUT HE WAS HAVING NONE OF IT!!

if i was you i would buy the 25ft SLX.its a perfectly useable pole to use all day every day from ground floor to 3 storey.

CLX is also i great pole if your on a budget but if you can stretch to the SLX then get the SLX AS ITS A MUCH BETTER QUALITY POLE AND WILL LAST OVER TWICE AS LONG AS THE CLX!

I also use a slx 25 as a everyday pole, they are brilliant, had mine for 2 years now and still going strong

I have mine set up with a aquadapter,flipfast, and extreme brush.

A good set up if i do say so myself

If you can afford the extra go for the extra go for an SLX but otherwise a CLX is still a very good investment especially from your brodex heavy weight pole

elite by far better clamping system than gardeners more robust less flex slightly heavier but nothing to worry about price is good

Clx is cheap (but still a very good pole
Slx are awesome
extreme I heard are so light any roughness and they are liable to snap, if trying to close windows, this may of course have changed now as Alex always improves everything he does and seemingly very quickly.

alround slx can take a beating, you dont have to look after it to well and it still lasts ages.
So if your going on price CLX
if you dont mind spending extra then SLX without doubt

Had my Slx 36 18 months now best pole I've ever used. Also got a Brodex Hydra Alloy which is just a spare. However my experience with Brodex isn't good so in future they can text me all they want but I won't be touching anymore of their poles with a bargpole!!

I have two Xtremes and neither has shown any signs of breaking - believe me nothing usually gets past me in one piece!

Thanks everyone for all your comments, I was thinking of buying the 4ft, 18ft & 27ft CLX which would cost about £450 but would the money be better spent on the SLX 30 and would it be an all day use pole? ( baring in mind I use the Brodex 25ft all day at the moment)
