it will take u 3 X as long as normal in some cases . I would charge double

If it takes 3x as long, why 2x the price?

not the best sentence at all typically i would charge double and not touch top of frames as that makes more work . I dont go all out for someone who i might never see again . Mike

Blimey im not charging enough for 1 of cleans then.i generally just do them at the same price as i would a normal clean because i want the work.
I know u lot will say put price up but i look at it this way if i do a good job they might want me regulary and if they dont i will be the 1st person they call when they want them done again.
I dont charge any extra for 1st cleans either,i try to be honest and charge them a fair price for what i do

Cliff, I always charge at least double. I'm no more full than you, but one offs are usually minging. They never become regular. I rarely get turned down either. A two bed semi would be £25-£30.

in your case the customer has been honest all one offs are 2.5 - 3x the defualt price so about £30 is fair. but read below if you,re canvassing to find out whos a one off and whos not.

new customers should be always offered a one off clean before you quote your defualt clean price , its not 100% full prove but by saying "was it a one off"? the very first answer they say is normally what they will be after the first clean.

if they say yes a one off pls then maybe reg, its 2.5-3x the defualt price if they are quite satisfied then you tell them the next clean price and give them x amount credit that they get back over say 6 cleans.in my case about 1 clean value.

but dont fall into the trap of "oh , actually can i have a reg insted" thats only an attempt to get a one off for the price of your defuat price u must go with his or hers first instinct and stick to your guns!

As i am pricing the house i always ask if they want a regular service then give them a price .

Picked up a new custy last week gave a price as a regular clean for £25:00 custy said yes please every 3 wks . Then her husband comes out and says i am to expensive and they have had a cheaper quote . I thought hear we go trying it on i am going to get messed about if i clean them .

Anyway i clean them for £25:00 as they are not to dirty husband so pleased with the finish he pays me £30:00 and asks me to clean them every 3 wks .  Everyone is different u just got a sus them out sometimes ur lucky sometimes not . Mike

I always ask them before giving price if they want a 1 off or not.very rarely do i bump the price up if they want a 1 off clean.
Think i might start adding just a little extra for my fuel and tax if that is the case from now on .
