Out leafleting in the sun this afternoon with headphones on and as I delivered a leaflet through a letterbox, I was bitten. Quite nasty scrape, lots of blood and went to get a tetanus. Gave the owner a mouthful and to be honest he was clearly quite shocked himself. But the dog is three years old a a snappy little b*****d. The owner swore it had never happened before but I was sure by his body language that he was lying. I told him that if I didn't hate the police so much I would be tempted to call them (though not sure what they would have done). I got it dressed and a tetanus at the minor injuries unit, but more peed off at losing over an hour of leafleting.

happened to me and i reported it to the police. not to make a fuss, but so that it was recorded. i think if the dog is biting the owner should be aware and take precautions.
If you did not have ur headphones on with music blearing you might have heard the snappy little sod on the other side of the door and not got ur fingers bitten . Lesson learned i think . Mike
