It doesn't matter where the water comes from, its where you use it that counts. You can't drive water into a drought area and expect to use it. Once it enters the area its covered by the drought order.

I could be wrong!
We have had a hosepipe ban here and people were prosecuted, not many but a few were. The big danger is that you are too visible with bright yellow hoses all over the place. People keep saying "you are not supposed to use them" and theres alway the nosey old git who's going to report you.

I could be wrong! Having worked for the water board for seven years I think I should know a bit about it. The water board owns every drop of water within its area no matter where it is or how it got there. Technically even the water in the radiator of your car belongs to them. All these ideas like saying you got it from the rain butt or off a mate in the next town makes no difference.

I'm sorry but how can a company turn round and say they "own" something that fell from the sky it's ludicrous . Also if I have paid for the water I own it end of
Just another question for anyone who knows. Whats involved in registering with the water company as a commercial user of water and how much does it cost? This may be the time to go legit with the water company.
