Hi guys, I have recently been approached by a friendly carpet cleaning company to quote for a daily rate to assist with a carpet clean of a hotel over a three to four day period. I have never quoted daily rate before and I'm unsure what the going price is for a professional carpet cleaner! I obviously know what I earn on average per hour, but I have to be reasonable on pricing to win the job.

I would appreciate any advice.

There is no going rate.

Perhaps ask him what he's happy to pay you and see how close it is to what your happy with.

Depends how much work you would sacrifice.

I would say working on what some Carpenters or other trades charge  £150 but for 3 or four days work you may be happy with half that, as it pays the bills

How much do you need the work? For pure labour with me just turning up and working  I would price my self as £350 a day, I don't think anyone would pay me it but that's what I would lose by working for them  as I couldn't do my own work.

If I was sat at home doing nothing when the job was taking place so would lose nothing by working on the job then my price would reflect this.

So it gets down to how busy you are.
