push fit pole taps, i have been through about 6 of them in as many weeks, the guts always come out of them and you cant put them back together, this week im going to use a metal pole tap and after the weekend buy another aquadapter as they seem to be the way forward

i still don't get the pole hose tap, I know I am simple but whats the point of having it there.

I prefer a tap on end of house reel, and rectus 21 female on end of pole hose, keep it simple. I can't see the need for aquadapter either as I hold tap by end of pole so does the same without pulling i twist

exactly same set up here too,,,keep it simples.  i use 2 keyrings interlinked over the male rectus fitting, and have a carabiner on my belt.

 I to have the key hasp & caribina on my belt loop,
But i find the inline pushfit taps last a hell of alot longer and never leak,
Thats why i changed from having the tap on the microbore

I used to have to near my leg and if you disconnect other they do start to leak, so now.

I hand in hand unless I put it down next to where I am, I do not disconnect the tap from pole much, only if it tangles this saves a load of cash from keep buying fittings.

the plus point of having tap on hose is if I want water I can disconnect the pole and use the tap, I see others doing it with femal on hose reel and water cant come out, then a tap on the pole hose which seems backward, why have a tap to stop water coming out of a pole that is not being used or cant be when disconected, and have a hose reel you can t get water out of beause it has been disconected

so why have the tap on the pole hose, when you could have it on your hose reel, could ger rid of the bucket to catch the water, you can then use the hose reel tap should you need water to wash off a sill etc

i stopped disconnecting them all the time stopped the leaks and replacing  from weeks to 6months ish

i have 2 aqua-daptors.best pole tap out there by a mile!!

I've got the bracket (that fits on the pole) and trap set-up from P. Freedom and it works a treat, no problems. And also got the little Gardiners tap which does a good job too, its a better tap because its smaller and more compact, I use it inline on my pole hose part

me too. i like them but only  been using for 3 months

me to i have had over a year on these no problems..     i fit them up by the brush head so you dont have to bend down to turn on/off , works very well . plus they dont get dragged round on the floor

i can somtimes turn on the tap and extend the pole onto the window before the pump kicks in -- fastest draw in north wales me ... gav cam .. i smoke him lol

I use external pole hose, as in I don't have the pole hose running through the pole.  There's quite a few reasons why I do this, but it's a quick way to work, and I just have to bend any handy bit of pole hose to stop my water flow.  It's easier and quicker than an aquadapter (I had two, since sold).

And on larger stuff, I take a short lightweight fishing pole with an adapter on the end.  I'll clean the high windows first, then close the pole, screw off the brush head, and attach it to the short mega lightweight pole and clean the ground floor windows.  Fast, and so easy it feels like cheating, but it's only easy to do because I work with external pole hose.

There's a knack to it, but once you've got it, it's easy.  I know quite a few local lads who work this way.

i believe what im doing wrong is using hot water, the taps hate it (push fit type) so im going to try something elsee, i particulaly like the look of the taps actually attached to the pole etc.

I use hot with the push fit tap, with no priblems at all, even with scoulding hot water.
I use aqua-dapter hose & and use the aqua-dapter inserts in the tap to ensure theres no leaks.
