Following the 2005 Health & Safety regulations, many window cleaners began to use WATER FED POLES to clean windows above a certain height, or in difficult positions. The use of ladders is only allowed under carefully controlled conditions.
The Water Fed Pole (WFP) has been used successfully for many years by all the major window cleaning companies and I have invested £8000 in the very latest version of this technology.
The window is first washed by a brush on a long pole, using a scrubbing action to release all the dirt. Then the window is thoroughly rinsed with ABSOLUTELY
PURE, LABORATORY GRADE, HOT WATER pumped up to the brush.
After rinseing the window is left WET, but because the water is pure it dries away completely leaving no contamination behind to mark the glass with no streaks or smears.
The Water Fed Pole (WFP) works just as well in the rain as in the dry; as rainwater is nature’s own Pure Water. Although I shall be working in most weather conditions, I offer my usual guarantee that if, within 24hrs there is any issue with the work I've done, I will return and put it right at no extra charge.
The principal advantages to the customer of WFP are:
Enhanced privacy in all rooms above the ground floor.
No ladder marks on decking / lawns / flowerbeds.
Windows that were previously inaccessible to the window cleaner (eg. Above conservatories, second floor work, some veluxes and most dormer windows that are not set back from the roof) can now be cleaned by water fed pole.
We are able to clean (and the price now includes) the outside of the guttering on upvc conservatories.
For the operator; water fed pole offers increased safety. Ladders are the most dangerous tool in our trade; causing several deaths per year and many serious injuries. With fatherhood approaching; I've taken the decision to minimise the risks I'm taking at work and I hope you can empathise with this decision.
Please note that although I will be minimising the use of ladders from now on; the quality of my work continues to be guaranteed. If you're not happy with my work; just get in touch and I will put things right.
