40/40 ro man system

hi i bought this system last summer, when i had this system it  filled 1000 ltr in about 5 or 6 hours after couple of months slowed right up i back wash every time i use it im on my second ro membrain . why is this so slow water presure ok i know its cold so will slow up. pre filters new . iv got mates who have the same system and theres are working 3 years on still fast are they cheap ro/s now? any info guys im lost

you say water pressure is ok,but what actually is it,get a meter on it and it tell you a lot more ;)

what is your waste set at ?

How do you change the amount of waste? I got mine from Pure Freedom and the 4040 was already set.

I think he means water pressure from your tap ;)

an air lock could also slow your water production down, do you have any drips anywhere ?

hi andy that would be good mail me your number if you can fostercarl67@yahoo.co.uk my waste ro man said just to turn it slighty my reading on the dial is 4.5 on pressure ,my ro reading is 55 its only 4 months old ?? pre filters are new iv only had the system since last summer

i had the same problem with our 40-40, my water in is 545ppm

i bet if you take the membraine out and look down it you will see little white bits between the paper (limescale)
you will no doubtly need to put a water softeren at the start of your system
