Backpack problem
« on: February 19, 2012, 11:40:03 am »
Hi Guys,

Dug my Shurflo backpack out the garage last night and charged the battery and give it a general clean up. This morning however I put the battery in and turned it on and its completely dead. Not sure were to start. My son has the same battery in his motorized car so I might take the battery out and charge that and see if that does the trick. If not I might replace the switch. Anyone else got any ideas?

Probably the battery, you can hook it up to any 12v battery, take red and black off van battery to check.

Failing that its the switch, mine failed and had to get a new one...then that one broke, i used mine as a trolley in end and fitted a varistream to it.

Check battery off something else first, leaveing batterys for lengthy times usually kills them.

The first backpack I got had a LED on the charger so you could tell what was going with the battery. This one has nothing like that so I'm working blind. The one thing I've noticed is that the light on the switch board isn't lighting up which still points to the same problems.
