Yesterday was a busy day for the site, 7 commercial leads, 4 residential leads, 7 new contractors signed up and 36 looking to buy areas

The network is growing!!!!

I think I understand your question

Yes we are a growing company and look at works like the one Stuart had come through as a lead, but it went to Stuart and not to J.V. Price,

We have 4 people in our sales team and are flat out 5 days a week carry out quotes and surveys, this shows that there is plenty of work out there to go around.

We have set this website up to help the small firms and to build a network of window cleaners nationally so we can compete with the national brands as a team, after the time and money spent on this project, I want it to work for all parties.

J.V.Price Ltd.....

The op has put a possible job up on the forum, can you tell me is that the sort of job that your company would normally look at obtaining for your business?

The reason i ask is that i presume that you are still active in gaining new contracts,so couldn't there be a conflict of interests eventually from some of the work coming through NWC?

So what you are saying is that the bigger the NWC becomes and the more work flows through (which i believe it will) then your sales team will not be quoting or chasing work that is meant to be the sole responsibilty of the contractor signed up for each particular area?
So how can you grow your business without eventually having a conflict of interest?
The reason i ask this is for the purpose of understanding how it all works so that maybe joining the NWC becomes a possibility.

Firstly a lot of our business comes through FM and Managment companies that have approved contractor lists, if your not on these you don't get a chance to quote, we also have some 50 cleaning companies that we have exclusive agrements in place to carry out all their window cleaning, I have bought my local areas to my offices as well to pull any local jobs in through the NWC website

As a rule most of the jobs that we do are to big for most window cleaning companies, and most jobs that will come through the site will be to small for us, for example we are working on a tender at the moment for 32 shopping centre's across the uk, we would not want to be being asked to quote sites with single cleans under £300

On another note if a site like the one stuart has had come through and the contractor could not take on the work we would offer to assist or take on the job and give them a kick back on the works

Sounds like a good idea so they dont lose out

One thing i've wanted to ask, off topic a bit. Are NWC willing to merge the smaller postcode areas? for example i searched a 10 mile radius from my postcode and it came up with 11 different postcode areas around 5 of those was within 5miles of me. Thats alot of monthly areas to pay for to cover such a small area of the valleys.

Hi Lee,

Send me an email to huw@nationwidewindowcleaners.co.uk with the areas you are looking at and I will see if any areas need to be merged together if they are too small as they are.

Nothing is set in stone and when we have enough contractors on board any unwanted/remaining areas available will be merged with the nearest member.

Cheers,

Huw

Hi,

Best if you email me Rich, snowed under at the moment.

Just to clarify that we may look at merging areas together if it is shockingly obvious that one area is a tiny area and we will not be bundling decent towns together just to make it cheaper!

Cheers,

Huw

I have been reading these post for a while now and i still don't undstand the point of it if i bought 4 areas residential and commercial that would cost me

£120 depost and a monthly payment of £120

Why would i not just spend the £120 a month boosting my own site seo and push my company forward and build on my own company image  ???

i know people are getting quotes off the site but would the amount of work cover the £1440 yearly cost

well of course that is the alternative.

nothing for me so far though my web site through organic listings is up with my nationwide page on google , others and those that this may work for do not have a first page presence whether organic or through the google local business center (which for those who dont know what this is or havent suscribed is the easiest, best and cheapest way of getting to the very top of google for local searches)

Hi,

To all those who have joined this week, your mini-sites will be live by the end of the weekend.

Apologies for the delay, but with the cold weather I have been out on our gritting contracts the last couple of nights and have not had a chance to get the new mini-sites completed.

All the best,

Huw

People need to understand that huw and Charlie could put the most amount of money etc into the site for seo etc but unless someone is actually looking for a window cleaner say a nice commercial business in your specified area you will not get any enquiries they can not make some one need a window cleaner it's an extra tool for gaining enquiries. To cover 1440 you would only need two smallish commercial jobs monthly

Hi Rich,

I think that could be the most sensible thing you have ever posted on here!!!

It's essentially a marketing tool. In the long term it may develop further though if we get enough guys involved.

Cheers,

Huw

I'd be interested in this, it's just the site appears to be advertising for the cleaning of widows. Ive cleaned some widows in my time and I wouldn't want to advertise that fact on google  ;)

Hi,

Cheers Matt. I'll have to fix that now!

Or maybe we could all diversify a bit ....
