we have 4 slx25s, 4 clx 18s and a 50ft SL-2

we have in the past used Brodex, Ionics and Excel poles.  All done a job but to be fair, none of them hold a candle to gardiners for:

1) Longevity
2) Ease of use (closed length etc)
3) Rigidity

I find that the lads accomplish more each day, maybe only 5% more, but this easily outweighs the cost.We only work above 25ft 3 times a month for no more than an hour at a time - so if we were working higher, more often, I can only imagine the productivity benefits of using the sl2 would become even more pronounced, maybe 10% or 15%

I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

what a big heavy beast but i will do the job for now  :o  :o

once I have got more high work i will be able to justify getting a slx I love my slx 25 so nice and light  ;D ;D
False economy, you have paid for a pole then pay for the one you whant. Trow it away, it will make you look like Arnold Swartzenager or kill you.

its not a false economy i bought the pole for £130 over the next 6-7 month i will try to get higher work for that size pole if i get lots of higher work i can upgrade to a better pole if i don't get loads of work i won't have to worry about a £500 pole sitting there doing nothing.   :o :o :o

For £130 & for the odd jobs I suppose you can't go wrong. It wont be the easiest pole to use but you know that. However, by using this pole, if you do get more higher work & upgrade to a better pole then you will be able to appreciate the new pole much better- which isn't a bad thing!! ;)
