Not sure about that grey XR pad, it could be too abrasive on some carpets which is why it is better imo to have two or three different onesso you can use the one that suits the circumstances best (and doesn't damage the carpet)

it is exactly the same as your "fire engine" dry fusion machine BUT without heat............

buy some tan pads and some white pads and use those Phillip... they really do work.

I only LM clean so I can talk with some experience here....   ;D ;D

Phillip,
You seem determined to spend money you don't need to. You've already got 98.5% of what you are looking for in your DF machine, just buy a couple of pads for a tenner and of you go, problem solved.

for a black top pub you will probably use 2 or 3 pads both sides but still a lot cheaper than buying a sebo that will not do the job as well.

try flea bay

I bought one in September.
It does work brilliantly I must say,  the one terrible oversite with the construction of the Duo is that the plastic shell is so thin that within two weeks it had been accidentally smashed to bits. I did use parcel tape around it  for a while but a few weeks ago it just fell to bits and is unusable. What a waste of £230-00 approx.  >:(

If only Sebo made the shell from the same thickness as the Sebo 36, it would be so much better. I think I will save up and buy an Envirodry some time next year.
If you buy one treat it with kid gloves!

Just renewed my sebo duo after 6 years regular use. My envirodry gen 4 which i use much less often  has been more trouble because the plastic side panels keep cracking.
