Paid for not cleaning
« on: November 23, 2011, 07:56:51 pm »
Got the hose and poles ut at a custys house yesterday said hello etc to let them know I was about hen realised I was out of water.  So packed up my gear and knocked on the door to let them know I would be back but no reply I could see they were having tea so decided to just go.

This morning when loading up the van custy comes to my house and gives me the money for cleaning her windows thinking I had forgot to knock for payment.  I told them what happend and I would be back and they insisted I keep the money.

So they cant tell when I have cleaned their windows I must be a crap windy cleaner.
Suppose I could of just taken the money and said yes I forgot to knock.

But could do with more custys like this

I put  flyers out...... on the flyers I put a price, to save me going out to quote....this works well for me.
a couple of years ago someone who recieved my flyer sent me a cheque for £12 ;D.....

A couple of local windies got caught out doing that.Knocking on the door and then just sticking a card in if nobody was in.One lady parked up and watched them do it then she raced after them and gave them both barrels.I bet they lost a lot of custies through this by word getting round, especially as it was the postman who told us this and he's the biggest gossip under the sun.

How do you quote on the flyer if you don't know what's around the back of the house ???
