Paul ( Colman) got to agree with Dazmond and a few more.
£15 even monthly clean ain`t enough.
Price and flame wars aint my cuppa tea,I`ve never posted on
Anything like this before.
Even if say an office girl pays ya by petty cash with a `chitty`
Receipt on completion it ain`t enough.
80 per cent of my work is just like in the `pic`.
I`d try to get the job on a 2 monthly arrangement outside and
3 or 4 monthly inside/outside.
WFP every 2 months I find is ideal and would try to `sell`it to
The customer/client on those terms.
I recon ya need to be around double the price your stating.

No flaming here - just stating how it is around my way on jobs like that. I have managed to get jobs like that as £30 in + £30 out but I've nearly always been undercut within a year or so. I said £33 in and out and I could get fair change from an hour by using the Easyshine pads. Hour for hour that would be maybe £40 an hour on the glass.
Don't get me wrong, if it wasn't local to me the price would be higher.
I live a mile or so from a large light industrial estate and I know what many of the guys are charging for work like that because I recently had a discussion with someone who was retiring about buying up his work. If you think that £33 in and out for that one was low, you should have seen his rates. I decided against buying purely on the rates but I think he sold it elsewhere anyway in the end. The trouble is, many of the guys bump the jobs so I've had to keep the prices lowish and find the quickest ways of working - WITHOUT bumping.
Although I live in the south-east, I'm in a very working class area with a plentiful labour supply so that might hold the rates down a bit - one of the reasons I tend to travel out of town for most of my work.
Although I said £33, on that estate, I doubt you would even get that unless you are in with the manager.
I do have a larger job nearby that I earn very well from. I quoted it before I realised just how quick I could be with WFP and before I was aware of the Easyshine pads. I got it because I am trustworthy apparently and although I have a good price on it (even by others' standards

), I have held this job for a few years. The previous guy used to slap in invoices without doing the window cleaning so I'm told (caught out by CCTV). So it can be done but it's a problem if someone is looking at price and nothing else.
BTW. I'm not a flamer. I think that is counter productive

.
A different tack now. Rather than giving prices, would a few people care to give times on how long they estimate the job would take (please state whether "on the glass" or "arrival to departure")? I'm starting to wonder if my hourly rate might be a bit low. Also, please state the cleaning method that you would use for the insides (I find the pads can halve the time - or more).
