It's not a case of not being happy with our lot, it's the fact that a second job is normally a necessity for a firefighter with a family, and it just happens that window cleaning fits in with our shift work and it's a decent physical job.....

dont you get bout 26 -28,000 a year though m8?? that aint bad really to be fair neway dont mata 2 me only saying m8 lol

I'm have a small Pest Control business.
Qualified two years ago, will build it up a bit in time.
It adds a bit of interest to life, wasps, fleas, mice rats, pigeons all that sort of nice stuff.  ;D
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence

Been window cleaning full time for 11yrs and for 6 of those i have also worked as a night support worker in a drug treatment centre . i only do 1 night a week and get sleep time so i can still go out on the glass the next day .
Its Sh** money but far more rewarding and challenging than  w/c

think window cleaning full time would do my nut in. nice to have something else to look forward to, and handy to have the flexibility of having another feather in your cap for when needed.
