I would happily give all my details, for the site owner's eyes only.
I've had crank phone calls due to putting my number on here briefly.  It can be a bit irritating when some idiot keeps phoning while you're trying to get on with work.
Email is a no-no due to spam.

dont see the point in having all my details on here at all. Prefer to keep it that way also.

lee you have no email, location or website on your profile, why not? all we know is your name.

If you want change at least lead by example

I just tried to act in response to your posting. Thought I would look into how I can add to my profile. And what did I find..... my email address. I thoguth you said I had no email??

it is hidden to other members ;)

Oh right, I will take a look at that. Thanks

I have no problem with any forum member knowing who I am.  On the very rare occasions that I've upset someone by something I've posted it has allowed them to contact me direct, rather than start a public slanging match and I've apologised and made a mental note to think carefully about anything I put on here, or any other forum.

If we all had to post under our own names and make our contact details available to all other members it might help to prevent the nastiness that occurs from time to time.

Ian agree 100%

Original poster Lee - your details are not shown in your profile summary, No email nothing - yet you think its a good idea - really easy to update  ;D ;D

Absolutely nothing to do with advertising !

If everyone showed details it would make this site more open. Times I have had to ask where the person asking a q is based... I will help people out as much as possible But being honest, draw the line at my local competiton   :P :P
