I took some pics this afternoon of my system and thought it might be nice to have one topic with pictures of your hot systems, either pro or DIY install, Diesel, LPG or other. Just to get some ideas and tips.

Here's mine. Just about fits in the Berlingo. Hotwash. Safefill refillable LPG tank is excellent, very good quality.
Two valves with some y connectors and I can select cold or hot.

Things left to do : Mushroom vent & Brass hoselock connector on the hosereel. Just venting with door open whilst playing around with it, but  seems to be running pretty well so far.

Sorry i havent uploaded the pictures of my cowl connection yet, been a bit manic. What ive ended up doing is just securing the top of the flue into an existing outlet on my old BT van, and left the Fogwash cowl off

I'll try and get that done tomorrow for you mate

By the way-your gas tank? Can they be refilled at a garage, or do you have to swap them at recommended distibutors?

Thanks, looking forward to seeing what setup other people have.

Fully refillable and legal to do so. Put the gun on there, turn it quarter of a turn, lock handle in. Open valve, push button. Fill it up at my local Shell station. Very easy.

Attached are the photos of how the vent is connected. As you can see ive pushed the hose up onto the outlet that was already there on the van, through the insulation.

In the interests of balance, ive included a picture of my very messy van.

Van doesn't look too messy! Those purefreedom setups sure look pretty. Looks like the vent is plastic, I've heard people melting them, does it get hot?

Ps. this is the mushroom vent I was talking about, cheapest metal I could find.

looks good but IMO its just more things to go wrong,higher insurance and general faffing about.i was thinking of a hot system a few months ago but i dont think ill bother.its probably only worth using if you do lots of one off cleans and conny roofs.maybe the odd day if we get really cold weather.

oil filled rad,aquarium heaters and a duvet is my winter preperation.oh and screenwash/trad pole if its below freezing in the day and hoses are freezing up.

more expense on top of normal wfp costs as well with diesel/gas used has put me off going hot!!

can guarentee you will go hot dazmond heard it all before from you, wasnt so long ago you were trad only and couldnt see how wfp would do a good enough job!

and dazmond why put a oil filled rad in your van then cover the tank with a duvet? sounds stupid!

I'm afraid it had already been fitted to the van when a bought it

Its an old BT van and they used lpg tanks apparently
