« on: September 27, 2011, 08:35:35 pm »
Really need some help please guys, broken my ankle and leg, had to take on a second guy to help with round while im off til christmas, this will keep all my work covered but leave little profit for me to eat and stuff! i am doing telesales to drum up commercial work and my paperwork is flawless! The telesales is a slllloooowww uptake though. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas of how i can gain more customers without being able to walk??????? any thoughts would be gratefully accepted

Are you doing around about 4/5 hours, are you following up the calls by sending information via a PDF?  Are you asking for an appointment?

Hi Andy, yea because least the lead isnt dead as such.  They have your details on file - you can follow it up etc.

Im assuming your lads on the street have an incentive to gain more work for you while you are out of action?
they are the best option if you cant door knock - even if they only canvass 20 houses a day inbetween cleaning - thats 100 each a week. give them a nice incentive and they'll be motivated to pick up more customers :)

Thats good Andy.  Did you make alot of calls to get them?  Its now a question of closing them off, not letting them drag.  Had a very weird one today, called back a quote that one of the chaps had gone to, got that job, then the receptionist and her mate both want their houses done.  Sometimes you get surprisingly good days.  Also the ones you think, not going to get that turn out to be the complete opposite.  Good luck Andy

Bloody hell Andy sorry to hear about your leg mate.

What about contacting management companys ? If you can get to blocks of flats, there is usually contact details for the management company where the cleaners sign to say they have cleaned to communal areas. Doors are usually open from 9-1 then its a case of punching in a code
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

play the sympathy vote, the guy on crutches looking for work is a big plus point.  in my early days i used to look like a real beggar and i still encourage that look with my lads who work for me,its a winner on the estates
