I don't think a 40 psi  backpack pump will push water through a 50 metre hose and up say a 30 foot (second floor) pole and deliver enough pressure to clean a window.I would think you would a 80 psi pump which are not in a backpack. I know with my backpack if the battery is no full house the pressure at 30 foot is much lower.

as he said you have the hose as well, so 50 - 100m of hose either 6mm or 8mm puts a lot of extra resistance on the pump.

it may work fine but it wont be for long. it will be too much strain for the pump

Back pack pumps are only 35 - 40 psi and do not a have strong head as they are only made to spray plants on a short length of pipe. we are pushing by using them to clean windows on a short hose. They bwill nwork but you will be killing the  pump.\\open your back pack and see what psi of the pump is.If its over 70- 100psi will do the job.I njust cannot see a stronger pump in a backpack. But check.

I know mate it pays to shop round. i was thinking of having one so i could do away with the controller and only being 2 amps just think how long our battery's will last. dave
