Are these set prices you put or starting from prices?

When you put out a leaflet with a price from............., most people expect that to be the lowest price which will NERVER apply to them. It doesn't mean much either as it asks more questions in the homeowners mind than answers, and the results are mostly negative. (Is this for cleaning the door - very very expensive; is this for cleaning the front only - very expensive. etc)
IMHO it is better to offer a free quote on your leaflet in bold lettering as you can see the reaction of your potential customer once you have given it. A walk around also gives you time to justify the price, ie difficult to reach windows, sash windows, windows with wooden window frames etc which can usually take longer.
If you know the house then a fixed price on a leaflet is a quote which is a statement of fact, and is more likely to grab their attention even if you add a provisor that conservatory cleans are extra. The best leaflet that appears to get the most reaction is a targeted leaflet, where you quote a price for the job. You may not get a call, but it will certainly have an impact.
But the best way is to knock doors and speak to people.
