My mate's got a Mitsubishi pick up, not the Trojan and he loves it. Looks a little cramped with his 650l tank, but he's say's all is fine.

Had a L200 warrior full works leather blah blah

Great in the cab but jes no room ! storage real problem not sure if they have solved drop leaf prob with new design but it wasnt lockable, only thing that secured it was the top box!
Hence had to have rear box alarmed not standard.

I wouldnt go for that esp with all the gear in back ...we had to also create special roof bars for ladders as truck man top had rails but really for show! not designed for weight..

Looks great but van soooo much more practical... I think what ever you get you always wish it was bigger  hence buy a Bus

i have the alpha trux fullbox sports top the roof bars can carry 50kg ,  when i fit tank in the back the tailgate will be open for the hose reel ,  and the top locked no different to leaving van doors open .  i have no need for a van as this is our only motor so great for lesiure as well .   I will still have enough room after putting a 350ltr tank in the back ,    And there is no chance of sitting at home when the snow is on the ground ,        Also despite the advertised 25 mpg i am getting just over 40 mpg with 300ltrs of water in the back

Snow and ice on the road can still send you sideways down a road even with a 4x4!

I KNOW ANDY MATE , but i will be able to drive onto estates and park up on 2ft of snow and that after a 1 hours work i will be able to pull away , i will have no concerns in getting about as long as i am careful

yer that is sort of amazing 40 mpg    the concern i had with the back locking wasnt while your using it  - it was the security leaving it overnight.
Next thing you will be telling me is the turning circle is really good 
If it works for your thats what matters.

We run a swb trafic after we moved from L200 - now i wish it was a lwb or even larger

I just go steady away mate when doing my round , so yeah despite your disbelief i get over 40 mpg . i put £50 from empty and get 270 miles before fuel light comes on again . 

As for overnight security the full box cover and tailgate lock in together . and mine is parked in a secure area out the back of my house .   I know you can retro fit a device that will lock the tailgate with the central locking system.      mike

Sorry mate for being picky but figures above dont give over 40 mpg..  more like just over 30 mpg  : which is still good

£50:00 of diesel at £1.35 a ltr is approx  a total of 32.45 ltrs from the pump which is just over 6 gallon ,  270 divided by 6 = 45 . which equates to just under 45 mile to gallon . just being factual  not wanting to start a keyboard war ,   kind regards Mike

No Mike,

£50.00 divided by £1.35 is 37 litres which divided by 4.55 = 8.14 gallons.

270 divided by 8.14 = 33.17 miles per gallon.
