New customers - still they keep on coming
« on: September 05, 2011, 07:42:48 pm »
Keep picking up new customers last few weeks ... charging higher rates and still saying yes.

Not canvassed or leaflet dropped for over 6 months.

Tried to get rid of a few low priced jobs by putting them up and all took price increase without a problem.

Only prob is Im knackered worn out  :(

Anyone else having a good run of new customers ?

bad trippy

Fair play! Just wandering how you manage to do that without canvassing?

They see you about a few times then they ask for a price.

The more you have the more u get .... unfair cos u need em more when first starting out but thats life

thats true ian!the more customers you have the more you get asked!!im in a great position as ive got plenty of work.i can pick and choose what jobs i want to take on!

keep doing a fantastic job, dont let your standards drop and dont get too greedy with pricing and you ll always have work!!

this is one of the best thing about window cleaning when you get yourself established.always another customer just around the corner.dont ever take them  for granted though.

best wishes

Thanks for the info.
Haven't started out yet, just signed up here to research etc.. Was thinking of having name and number on the back window of an estate but wasn't sure whether it would be worth it?

Ian

Same here-we had no new custies for around 3 weeks and then this week 7 new jobs. All people in their 50/60's and always about with cash. Really good week.

Ido think there are a lot of lads that are now jacking it,or have made a poor job and leaving some decent custies behind

After I moved to Ireland in August I was told that I would find it really difficult to get customers due to the demise of the Celtic Tiger.

In 5 weeks I now have around 60 customers, which equates to around 35% of what I am looking for before I can stop canvassing. Most of these are monthly, and over here the going rate is a lot higher than UK rates! At the rate my business is growing, I will have enough customers and turnover to have a good living within the next couple of months, and I won't be working as hard as I had to in good old Blighty, because I have finally learned not to underprice my work!  :)
