i wish to upgrade my twin di system to a two man by adding a second pump and controler. my di's are after the pump so i guess i split hose into two from the tank to  feed both pumps so does it go back into one hose to go through di's and back into two again to feed both reels.

If you're going to feed both hoses into one DI, then there's no point in a second pump. As long as you have a decent pump, you can run both reels from one pump, I have successfully done so for 3 years. The only thing you need to bear in mind using it this way, is when one person is cleaning upstairs and one downstairs, as the pressure will drop on the upstairs pole. As I say, once you get used to this you can work accordingly.

Having said that, two pumps are better for the reasons I have already mentioned above. You will need to have a completely separate feed though. I would personally not share the feed from the tank, as you may overwork you pumps. You will also need to have separate DI vessels for each of the reels.

1 feed from the tank from 1 to the DI then T piece to split the pipe for a 2 man set up, been working for me for the last year or so!

just get another pump and controller
for every bloke who says he runs 2 men off 1 pump there are 3 blokes who will tell you its apain in the arse.......IMO

just done mine.

650ltr tank. use a "Y" piece outlet so i can take two hoses to two seperate pumps, then two seperate DIs, and two seperate hose reels

so people runnign 2pumps dont use di`s in tandam unless its di`s before pumps then y piece split its just that my di`s have always been after the pump

Personally it has worked fine for me.

The only possible down side is when the other user turns his tap off you get the full pressure through 1 hose, but then again that can work to your advantage.

I find you get problems when you start using a 45 and another pole. 45 gets no pressure at all and the smaller pole gets loads

Don't get me wrong, you will notice the difference, but you just need to have flo up a little higher than you might normally, you will not compromise the quality of work. I did it successfully running a two man system, off a 500l tank with one pump, and would manage a full days work doing so.

However, unless you are trying to save money, I would go for 2 pumps, 2 DIs. Just makes life that little bit easier
