pre-spray, agitate, extract, groom, same as any carpet cleaning!!
I try to get the floor as clear as possible before starting. I always pre-condition customers to clear the carpets as much as possible before I arrive. Got them pretty well trained by now

It's worth investing a little time clearing the decks at the start of the job to avoid having to faff about once the machine is spitting money out of its exhaust pipe.
A decent time-saver: Leave sofas etc where they stand whilst pre-spraying/agitating, only move them just before firing up the machine, extract underneath then shove them back and extract the rest of the room. As long as the carpet is 'clean' under sofas etc you don't need to pre-spray it.
You bought that trailer-mounted Maxx didn't you? How did it look when you got the inch of dust off it?!!
