it is a shame
« on: July 26, 2011, 02:11:32 pm »
It is a shame that the topic of groupons was shut as I would have liked to read the result from the person that is doing the campaign.
The subject was intesting but I did get fed up on one person continually harping on his negative opinions and that was counterproductive to the forum. I would still like to hear the practical experineces and the result of the campaign and if re-posted would hope that the negative people would keep their opinions to themselves and allow other members access to the practical information.

We'll said, Peter.
In think we could all do with remembering that we are dealing with electronic personalities who for the most part have never met. Lots of people think I am an arrogant sob :'( but the people that know me know differently. There are personalities on here who's posts I never read and just skip past because in the electronic forum world I don't like them, but in the real world I may get on with like a house on fire.
The moderators have now deprived us of the opportunity of continuing the debate on groupon, and told us we cannot discuss the subject again because they think we should all suffer if a few go too far. They could just delete / edit out the naughty bits and deny the offenders their voice, but leave the rest of us to continue the debate.

Well it won't be hard for him to come on here in x months time and start a new thread telling us how it's going.
I'd be very interested to know, although for the rest of us on here to get a true picture of is it worth it, we would need at least 3 carpet cleaners to give their experiences.

You are right Neil. Even if one CC did it and it didn't work for them doesn't mean it can't work, and that's true of lots of things.

You also need a certain type of business and wanting it to go a particular way for it to be 'successful' and that's not what everyone wants.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

i don't get why negative comments can be said. you've said you'd like to hear what experience comes from it, but then for posters to keep negative comments to themsevles ???

maybe it would be best to keep personal comments to yourself and then allow everyone to discuss it? i don't why jason felt the need to start bigging his e-thingy about how many millions he's turned over, that was what makes the thread go down hill, dicussing groupon both positive thoughts, and negative facts about it is not bad.
