Anyone got Yell.com?
« on: July 24, 2011, 11:37:51 am »
Had a phone call this week from Yell (one of many I must stress) asking if I was interested in running an ad with them. Oh its all changed now said the bloke. Its all linked up with Google and Microsoft these days etc. You can get into your ad anytime too bit like a mini website I would imagine.
Anyway I decided to sign up for 12 months at a cost of £120. But I didn't go into Yellow pages as imo its a waste of space.

I was in the pages for some years but didn't get much. You can have a free ad in the yellow pages and on yell.com I'd go for that because you can get your own website for less than 120.
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence

better off with a few adds in local papers and target tighter round
you end up all over the joint
life is like a box of chocolates you get the crap no one else wants

When I went in both 4 years ago it cost over £400. I just about covered my outlay that time this is why I thought for £120 it wouldn't be so much of a gamble. 2 conserv jobs will cover that.

Make sure your key words for anyone searching you on the web are listed on your first web page, don't waste your money with Yell.
Spend good money on you van logo this returns more than any other form of advertising.

I'm good thanks mate. Well we'll see. I also drop on average 500 leaflets a week myself. Leaflets cost £50 for 5,000 so not so much to lose. But £120 aint much!!

Worth a punt for £120 mate. I just use the free Yell services myself but one thing's for sure, Yell usually ranks the top of most things with google.
