« on: July 20, 2011, 04:36:21 pm »
Hi All,

I notice that iwantawindowcleaner.com goes straight to Lee's website now (pryors-uk.com).

Why not we all try things that don't work out, but just occasionally they do.

Good luck to the guy even though I thought it was madness, at least he gave it a shot

you lot do make me laugh. its more fun not replying.

to be fair it didnt work as well as I wanted, mainly i think because the radio didnt drive enough people onto the site.

on the other hand the idea did work in that many customers did come through and were sold on to registered companies on my project.

I still think there is scope for the idea to evolve down the line, in the mean time the money I set aside for the project is gone so it will have to wait for now. my existing business is flat out right now as we are having a great year for new customers coming in.

I would rather try and fail than not try.

Fair play to you, you did give it a shot.
Personally I don't think I would of had the balls to put my money on the line to try it, but you did.
Sometimes you have to take risks in life to reach the next level and maybe this time it hasn't worked out as well as you hoped.
But maybe one day.....

Good on you pal.
Glad business is good.there's far too many knockers on here and people who lie to make out there doing well.
You tried and have a great business going.keep up the good work fella and take no notice of the knockers.

Its better to give it a go, then not try at all (and sit there talking about it)

I cancelled my radio advert for the same reason ;)

At least you gave it a go, hows that Porsche of yours?

That's an excellent way to look at it. Try enough things and something will work.

Why is that so many people love to see someone who dose try full flat on their arse?
I didn't think it would work that well especially in this climate, and the biggist one for me is i do my own prices.

as you say at least you were prepsred to give it a try,    one thing Ive learnt in this life is that I would rather regret something I did then something I didn't

who knows, in the near future you may re-visit it and see something that might make it successful.

I tried a threesome once, never again.

those two guys were not nearly as pretty as women.

An old sales manager of mine used to say:- "If you aim for the moon you won't hit it but you will get to a hell of a height!"
It's a game of three halves!
