Hopefully when you had it made and designed from then on you own the website code.

Go on to whois.com the domain search and find out if the domain is in your name firstly.

If you cant get hold of the hosting providers then you are in trouble as they will need to transfers the site files either to you to host yourself (someone like go daddy is cheap) or to another hosting provider.

Just read your post again and im not sure I get you

Did you host it with the people that designed it?

good news the domain is registered in your name so fast host should be able to help if not i would transfer the domain name to another provider and set up you email addresses with them and just forward the domain to one of your other websites for now

Try using the wayback machine for your website,.. there may be a recent copy of it cached that you could use to re-instate the website with new hosting?

C'mon, Ronnie man, you're always losing stuff; laptops, customer data base, and now your website.

Get a grip!

Ronnie,.. when you get it all sorted, i'd recommend lethost.ie for hosting. Their customer support is way superior to fasthosts & they'll go out of their way to sort out this kind of problem,..

If the domain is in your name I don't see why there should be a delay at all,.. 2 weeks without e-mail would cripple me!
