Hi all.I'll be buying a van soon and was thinking of changing from the normal Transits I buy. I know that the VW Transporters are popular amongst window cleaners so what are they like; warts and all? What is the maximum size tank they could carry??Any problems; The Vauxhalls seem to have dodgy gear boxes; what about these vans?Fuel economy??? Room for other equipment??Do you do plenty of motorway miles m8Your honest opinions would be much appreciated.Cheers all
Why have you just quoted everything I have just written??
Had a vw Transporter t30 for 2 1/2 years. Got a 650 litre tank. So far the only thing gone wrong is the dreaded fly wheel on the clutch. So as it has 39 000 on the clock he put in a new clutch plate as well. £930 to fix. When I first bought it I had the engine remapped so it now has 149 BHP cos the engine was too flat for the weight. Better on fuel as a result. Good van and no other probs so far...Hope it helps!!
