i find the fascia jobs much better paying jobs especially if you get a few in on a day my lads breeze thru them n we charge quite high always end up with a turnover of 400-450 if we get one in at end of busy day window cleaning

ok so a couple of my custys have asked for this service as of late, but i always turn it down cos it just seems like a pain in the neck job (no pun intended  ;)) with water fed pole

It's the easiest money you'll ever make.  If the gutter's clean it takes half a minute a metre.  If it's filthy, two minutes.

Gardiners dual trim Superlite standard on the end of your pole, hardly angled from the line of the pole.  Give the gutters, etc a quick spray over to get them wet, then by the time you reach the other end of the run, the first end will have loosened.  Wash them and marvel at how what looks like baked on dirt and algae just pours off.  Go at the brackets from a slight angle to ge the dirt out.  Rinse the lot.

Let the drips form, then run along with the brush with the water turned off to get rid of them.

The only reason it is tough work is that you're holding the pole in a different way.  Charge £2.50 a metre and you'll get over the discomfort..

Vin
only £2.50 per metre , if this is all you charge you can come and do all mine .

Crikey, that's the first time I've ever been accused of undercharging.

Vin
go for £4 per metre and you will be closer to a realistic price , even at £4 per metre its still cheap compared to what some people charge .
for a average 3 bed semi £135 is what i charge and all them i do are repeat yearly cleans .
dont sell yourself short on this type of work .

£4 per metre - £135 per average semi, how many metres of fascias are on your semi's dont seem to add up  ???

£4 per mtr is for external cleaning , include the internal of the gutter and put a extra amount on , i dont no where you are from mate but around where i live people are paying far more than £135 to have this type of work done .
as for mtrs of fascia on our houses the front and rear are 9.5 mtrs the side is 8.5 so in total you have 27.5 mtrs x that by £4 you will get £110 add extra for internal and the figures will add up to around £135 .
look at some of my early post from around 2 years ago i was charging £120 then .
theres lads who come on this forum who no me and they are now charging the same if not more than what i charge .
where theres muck theres money

I do it by hand (most of the time) and use a hozelock garden sprayer pumped right up and unless it is very windy the tfr ill reach most gutters!

You should try the sprayer on a pole Simon. Great thing about using the sprayer on the pole is that you can get the chemical exactly where you need it. I give the gutters i clean at least to spray overs with the chemical and a good spray around the gutter brackets and joins.

I wouldnt be without my sprayer on a pole now.
