very true mate but as a said in earlier post typically from 2007 onwards all diesel motors are to fitted with a DPF to reduce emissions ,   to be honest i just educated myself via the web as after i had spent 10k on my vitara i did not want to get rid ,  another point to make about DPF is DO NOT PUT CRAPPY SUPERMARKET DIESEL IN TANK i will only use harvest fromally BP and sainsbury diesel is good its cleaner and i typically get an extra 15 mile out a full tank
