ive just ordered myself a booster pump from these guys

http://www.ecosure.co.uk/acatalog/Booster__Centrifugal_Pumps_.html

its the one that gaps water recommends, and its £70 cheaper than everywhere else, i thought i would put it up on here incase anyone else is after a pump.

I'll be interested to see how you get on with this. It certainley looks a good robust pump. Only thing that bothers me is that it is rated as 35 metre head maximum, i'm sure thats about 50PSI ?

Hi Lee
I would be very grateful if you could post on here when you have it set up.Is it an hf5 4040 you have ?
Been considering getting a booster for some time for my hf5. I'd be interested to know how much quicker you can fill your tank and how much less waste and lower tds there is.
Thanks
Simon

I will do, I have a filmtec 4040, and I have just been running a transfer pump to boost it to see how well it worked before I ordered it, with the transfer pump it was boosting to 85 psi, tds in was 375 and tds out was 7 and it made 500l in 1h 20mins. I will let you know what it's like with the new pump as it will boost the pressure even more.
