Your opinions on pricing this job would be appreciated.
we're having a discussion in the office about a little carpet cleaning job, its about 48 sq yds, polyprop tiles, lightly soiled only, how much wuold you charge ?

Just charge your usual price per sq!!

Is there an access / time / other undisclosed problem with the job which might require a second worker on site?

If there are no potential problems and no access worries or parking difficulties
or people / furniture to deal with, about £70 would be a reasonable price IMO.

£60 -£70 for 40 square metres ! 

£120 for me and it would take longer than an hour.

Bonnet clean would be £50, HWE double it (plus VAT of course).

Around a £100 - £120 for HWE half that for Bonnet cleaning/depending on furniture  soiling, I honestly can't see how it can be done in a hour, take me 2 - 2.5hrs for HWE. I conceed I could do it in half the time with a bonnet. I guess some can do a whole house in that time.

Nearer 24ft x 18ft but close enough. 2.5hrs? Nearer 2 as stated, but could be between 2 - 2.5hrs. Pre-vac including edges and moving furniture. Pre spray, dwell, fill up machine, spot any other marks, agitate.  Hook up hoses/tools. Clean, empty machine, pack away. 2hrs £100.

Arrive, pre-spray, pull hoses off reel, start tm, clean carpet, wind hoses back up, leave. Hour tops. £60
