My leisure battery cost £80 brand new. There's two of us in the morning till maybe 1.00 pm and then only me from then on and I reckon we're using about 600 litres of water per day on average, depending on what we're working on (though this will probably decline shortly as we get the first cleans out of the way). So, because they're not cheap, I charge my battery every night; it's got a nice carrying handle which makes it easy to cart in-and-out of the house and it's lighter than a 25 litre barrel of water and I could be man-handling about ten of them a day previously to getting a van-mount.I can trust it, and I won't be losing a morning/afternoon's work (I hope) because it's failed me, so I think I'll just stick with using new leisure batteries.
I had a leisure battery lasted only 4months before one of the cells blew!!I am now using a car battery from the scrapyard been 9 months and still going strong all for the princely sum of £10 nuff said i think
