whilst working today ,draped over a washing line behind a customers home was the biggest piece of scrim cloth i ever saw .  must have been 6ft  x  6 ft .   ethnic bedspread ?

 i said to my lad, jeeez look at that, dyou reck she"d mind if we used it on her glass

BOBBY have you tried the blue cotton scrim from the clean centre london road? pack of 10 for £10 I preferr them to normal scrim. not just because they are cheaper

 hi-ive not seen this blue scrim  but i will definitely have a gander next time i go in that shop. do you use it wet or dry?      my new helper/assistant is going through scrim like theres no tomorrow ,can you believe he used 15 in 1 day   ,everyone was filthy too. however the glass is sparkling which is the main thing.


 the big cloth/scrim that was hanging on that washing line was a tad thicker than the Unger scrim that i use ,it really looked great quality but of course i didnt try it out . im now wishing i had looked at it closer in case it had a label on it   . it was either a bedspread or perhaps a floormat or even a tablecloth  and i would think it will now be back inside her house today

They are actually medical cloths used for wiping up "fluids" yuck!   you use them dry like scrim. it never ceases to amaze me how many scrims a worker can get through no matter how many times i explain, im sure they do not know what a wet cloth/sill cloth is for. 2 scrims a day max for me unless a big filthy internal job.

we stopped using scrims back in the late 90s.

just use unger micro wipes now

was not a scrim it was more than likley a small dust sheet.
I ordered some profesional  sheets last month 24 ft x 12 ft.
one never got used on the job so gave it to a freind who cut it to 3 x 3 and seamed them all.
washed them and they have turned out to be just as good as the unger

I prefer scrim to microfibre all day long. And as for big pieces of scrim, thats pretty much what they used to put on cricket squares to absorb the moisture when "rain stopped play" before they got those big covers

microfibre sticks to my hands like fly paper, just dont like the feel of it. scrim not a problem.
