where is the pump pressure switch on a shurflo pump?
« on: April 08, 2011, 10:04:06 pm »
I've resorted to actually reading the instructions that came with my flow controller and it says the following:

"For absolute safety always wife through the pump pressure switch."

Now where on a shurflow pump is the pump pressure switch?

My controller instructions told me to disconnect the sureflow pressure switch! (can't think what make of controller I've got, and it's dark outside)

Thanks, D F,

And I connect the varistream to the wires that come out of the bottom of the pump; yes?

Is this correct?

I've got the rest, mate, it's quite simple now.  Two long wires to the shurflow and the two shorter wires (the one with the fuse) to the battery.  It's not complicated when you know, eh?  ;D

Thanks guys; it is simpler than it at first looks.  I've seen sent a load of snap on connectors that I need to have a play with to see how they work, but I think they're going to be simple too.

The flow controller that has the split charge relay will be a bit more complicated, because I don't know how to run the wires that connect the van battery to the battery that will power my pumps.  But I'm sure I'll work that one out.

I've just had a long day of fannying about, and now I'm a bit brain dead.

Oh, one last question (for now), does it matter which way up I fit the pump?  I'm assuming it has to face black plastic side DOWN (pointing towards the ground)? Or doesn't it matter?

Mine are fitted at the bottom. It's because you're in Scotland that they're on the top. As Tosh is in Wales his will Aldo have to be at the bottom. If he was in Ireland they would have to be at the top like yours ;0)

I neva touched that Panda.  It was all a mix up!  I swear I didn't do anything to it; I don't even fancy pandas, they're not my type.
