ordering new pole & aqua-daptor
« on: March 24, 2011, 10:22:25 pm »
had a good week money wise with another good day on the cards tommorrow! ;) ;D ;D ;D

so i thought id order a slx 22ft with extreme brush and an aquadaptor mk 2 to go with it!

which thread do you need with the aqua-daptor?is it the metal thread?

im sick of the loop of hose with my pole tap and my clx is great but a little bendy at full stretch and ive a lot of work with windows over conservatories!

any of you guys use the slx with aqua daptor and extreme brush?does the extreme brush fit on to the standard plastic angle adaptor or do you have to get the gooseneck to go with it?

cheer in advance guys!

You have to specify a brush socket when ordering the Xtreme. ;)

I use one with a 25ft SLX, superb!

daz go for the next size up, i have the 22 and find it just that tad to small for some windows, if you get the really deep connies or a 3 storie house then you have to swap poles, it does my head in that i never got the next one up, oh and i use a trigger and find that brilliant as its so much easier to use

ste ive got a 25ft hydra alloy if i need a bit of extra height which i use on a few commercial and country houses.the reason why i want a 22ft is because of the short closed length.to be honest being 6ft 2in i can reach quite a lot of 2nd floor windows with the 22ft.

i like the extra weight of the hydra at full height esp if its a bit windy.its nice and sturdy!it only gets used a few times a month.like tommorrow ive got a big church to clean and i use it  fully extended for all the high windows and skylights.

im thinking the 25ft slx will be too long (closed length)and heavier than the 22ft to use all day!

I don't use aquadaptor, I just have a stop end connector on hose.

I agree with ste M, I use the 25ft slx all day, every day for everything. I Haven't carried a small pole for 3 years. ;)

i think ill order the 25ft SLX then.it will do all my present work with a monster 30ft teleplus UNGER POLE if i need any extra height(God forbid!!) ;D ;D ;D.

just over £300 for the bare pole.hopefully ill get a good year or two out of it.i think ill get some of the spray as well while im ordering.not gonna bother with a new brush as ive already got 2 supalite brushes.

aqua-daptor seems expensive but it might be worth it just to get rid of the bloody annoying loop of hose at the bottom of my pole!! ;D ;D ;D

so ill have a 25ft brodex hydra alloy and 22ft clx as emergency back up poles with a 30 ft unger teleplus and a 20ft fibre glass streamline pole!...oh and.....errrr.....a small unger wfp(used for washing the van!).

so ill have 6 poles!im getting quite a collection!ive only been wfp for 10 months!! :P :P

IVE ordered the 25FT SLX.not sure about the aqua-daptor now!

went to buy it and its the best part of £80 with delivery.i think its too expensive!!!i thought it was like £70 INCLU DELIVERY!!they want £7-50 extra!!

also i drop my pole quite a lot!at least a few times a week!!and with bumper breaking his and not so sure now!i think its a hell of a lot of money for just turning your water on and off!!!

Daz, you have just let others change your mind for you.

I have a 22 slx and it does 99% of my work, including some 3rd story work, and windows over connies. i only get my 27clx out a couple of times a month.

The aqua dapter is great, bumper was unlucky, i have dropped mine loads and never broken.

With the closed lenght of the 25 slx, plus the Aqua dapter, you are looking at a long pole for everyday use, that is another reason why i went for the slx.

The auqa dapter is an expensive tap, but it is the best tap, the slx or supalite extreme poles are expensive poles, but they are the best poles, you get what you pay for.

you should have gone with you original setup idea.

cheers lee!i do struggle with a few awkward windows with the 22ft.i didnt think about the closed length with the aqua-daptor fitted!!i think itll be as big as the hydra but a lot lighter!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

ill only need 1 pole then in the van for all my work.

thanks for that lee managed to get a fiver off the price of aqua-daptor.the slx 25ft will be quite long i suppose but ive ordered it now and its payed for!

im a big guy with very long arms so i think the 25ft will be ok.at least i dont have to swap poles for my commercial jobs/country houses and no need to extend each section fully anymore!!

cant wait to get it and set it up!NO LOOP OF HOSE,VERY RIGID POLE!! :D :D :D

i want to look after it and hopefully itll last me 2 years as its cost me £370 for both the pole and aqua-daptor!

wc solutions i made a mistake buying the 20ft glass fibre from pure freedom when i bought my trolley.too heavy and bendy to use all day.then i bought the 25ft hydra as i was short on a few jobs with the 20footer.then the clx came out and thought thats what i need for an everyday pole!had the pole 6 months.then now ordered the slx 25ft.

the unger 30ft teleplus i had already from my trad days just converted it.same for my small unger pole that i use for washing the van.

so ive bought 4 poles in nearly 11 months!!when the 25ft SLX would do all my current work!!

20ft glass fibre is now a conny roof/fascia pole.

25ft hydra/22ft clx are both spare emergency poles to minimize downtime.

no lee didnt order the extreme brush as ive already got 2 DT supalites.

at this rate your bird wont have anything to buy you for xmas!

like a kid with a new toy  ;D

we have aqua dapters - great bit of kit! doesnt save a load of water but does have other advantages:

less water on the building walls, path etc ....

I've had it since they first came out, must be 3 years now. Much better than the carbon Facelift I used before it.
It's had some right hammer too! I use it for everything from ground to 30ft.

The latest revelation for me is the Xtreme brush, Superb! ;)
