pure water ironing
« on: March 19, 2011, 12:55:30 pm »
I know theres a lot of ex military guys on here and why is it that our partners always think we love ironing!
My question is that we live in an area with about 320 tds and so would it be better to use my 000tds water in the iron to stop it scaling up etc?

Don`t they know we`ve got more pressing issues?

Surely pure water will burn holes through all your clothes? I've heard it's really aggressive, burns through van floors, dissolves wooden frames, eats double glazing seals, ruins pressure washers, attacks green algae, dissolves dirt, melts copper fittings as it fights to return to it's natural state and strips your body of minerals. Nasty stuff.

Strange thing though, tropical fish like it and people drink it, dentists like to squirt it about too. Funny that  ???

I've not ironed anything in YEARS!  Nor have I hoovered, dusted, cleaned, or anything like that.

Such are the positives of having a partner who has a gardening, cleaning and ironing OCD.  Unfortunately her OCD does not stretch to cooking; I do just about all of that.
