think its a bit of a shame that stex posts have been locked...the guy is starting out window cleaning and is trying to make a few quid to buy his gear and helping out fellow cleaners at the same time..
he will take what your happy to pay..you could even send him a sqeege and he would be happy... NO Dave morris wants him to fork out for a banner...sort it out

Whether it's £300 or £300'000 it's still advertising.

No advertising whatsoever is allowed on the posts, ALL advertising is limited to the top banners.

I have contacted steve and told him to speak to admin

i know he was giving out business lessons on window cleaning and hasnt even cleaned a window yet. ;D but i sent him over here from anotherforum as another window cleaner was looking help with a logo and his own logo is very good .
so why not have someone who can HELP us get a cheap logo that if you dont like it you dont donate...
if you went to a design agencie they would be looking £150..this guy would be happy with a few quid..and hes just trying this to get the funds up to buy his window cleaning equipment...and hes only 20 give the guy a bit of slack
also happened by chance as people asked about his logo and when he said he done it himself people asked him to help with theres but thats matts forums for you ...people willing to help not knock you down before you have started

well said

No matter what the cause all advertising is limited to the banners or a stcky at the top of this page.

If you notice you will even see charity posts confined to those areas.

As I said earlier, contact admin for permission.

Talk about an own goal. The guys twenty, he's skint but wants to buy an applicator squeegie and pole so he can earn some money. When he has the kit he's looking at bus rides for transport so can't use ladders even if he wanted to .He's prepared to build cheap websites and pro quality logo's for pennies just to get started.

I think the ban has drawn him far more attention, goodwill, and possibly punters than ten banners would have given him.

Well done Dave, nice one ;D ;D ;D the old double bluff.

Hi guys, I really appreciate your help.

To UPVC Cleaning Services. I may know how to run a business but offering my services to raise funds for better gear is hardly running a business so why would I need to charge higher prices?

I am not looking to gain a one-off guy for a site and logo for £500+

I want to and have helped other guys out with cheap stuff they normally don't want to waste mega bucks on!

To David Morris. I understand forums have rules with advertising, but you do not lock topics about peeps selling rounds or selling gear. 'Soz mate but you have to fork out for a banner to sell your £200 trolley system' :-\

Like John said, this forum and most others are about helping each other out, whether that is advice or support or in this case raising money.

I have not came here begging for £1 paypal donations. I have offered some services that a large majority of members can benefit from.

Regards,

Ste  ;)

Why ask a question in such a lairy tone?

'Did you post the same topic on the carpet cleaning section Ste?' Would suffice!

NO! I did not post in the carpet cleaning section about raising funds for a carpet cleaning business.

Yes I did post the same topic about window cleaning, I felt they could also benefit from my services too, I noticed that was deleted and my other topic wasn't. So I though fair enough as I am becoming a window cleaner that helping other windies would be more relevant.

Your point being???

 ;)

Ste

Apologies if you think my post was lary

I have been advised to delete any suspected spam, especially as the same post was deleted in the carpet cleaning section.

It's not just your post, we get loads similar everyweek offering similar services to you.

I am just going to lock this until you take it up with admin as previously advised.
