I got a call from a lady that runs a local business networking meeting, meets every wed at 7.30, you just have to pay £7 for a breakfast and coffee because it is held in a local coffee shop that is run by a charity.

Anyway, has anyone else attended this type of meeting before, has it lead to much work?

I know i could just go and see what its like, but i dont like having to get up early to get there (well its early to me)  ;D

I find it's mostly the shirt and collar brigade, And it's mostly business men and women who work from offices,shops and warehouses. So it could pay of chap.

No experience of them myself but I have heard about them.
Lee I think Pure Hydro Cleaners on matt's forum goes to them in his area.
They are good for getting commercial work mainly from what i've heard.

Lee - I went to one a few years ago. Cost me a tenner for Breakfast in a local hotel and was the best £10 I spent. What P-I-T-G says above is true. They were all office based companies but from that I got a regular 6 weekly job from one company (and the MD's house), 3 of the companys neighbours say me out working and have also employed me. A cleaning contractor employed me for 2 years from the meeting but sadly not anymore  :-[
So yes, for a few quid its definately worth trying.
Im in the process of expanding my biz so will start up again soon.

There is one near me Lee, I think of them as a mini masons. If you can help each other or use each others services then you do. I haven't done it yet but what is the worst that can happen?

I was a member of my local BNI for 3 years and joined just after i set up and have just left.

I also have been to a few other networking breakfasts & lunches.

It has got me a fair bit of work, so it does work ;)

But sometimes it does take a while, as people get to know & trust you
