A tax question, what to put?
« on: January 12, 2011, 06:27:12 pm »
This week i have introduced a charge of 50p for using nochex as payment, this will go towards or even cover the fee i get charged by nochex for each transaction recieved. For example, i received a payment for £7.50 (including 50p charge), what shall i put this down as in george for tax purposes, obviously this is a £7 job, i received £7.08 after deductions. Before hand i just put it as £7 although i ended up with less as there were deductions on this, So was paying tax on money I never had (if you catch ma drift)

If the house is £7 and you charge 50p then the total is £7.50, so put £7.50 down as the job price, at the end of each month, add up how much you have spent on nochex receiving money and put the total down as an expence.
