When people say Imperial vacs do they mean the company Imperial Electric? because I have a vac by this company, or is it someone else?

Yes Imperial Electrics, are the manufacturers of
Imperial Vac Motors.
They are now owned by Lamb Ametek.
They are not Chinese.
