« on: January 02, 2011, 09:22:47 am »
Morning all.

You may know by now that I have know idea about websites! I have a website by freestart that I dont really pay much attaention to, however it does pretty well with over 30000 hits??? I have just been looking into it a bit and on the site settings it has the following boxes to fill. Does anyone know what I should put?

Tracker code
Google verification code
Yahoo verification code
Bing verification code.

Forgive my stupidity but its all greek to me!

Happy New Year!

Just checked website it has had over 40000 hits not 30K. Not sure how though? Another question, for those that have more than one site, does this really help? Adverts in mags etc are becoming so expensive so I thought I had better get with it and give the interweb cyber space thingy a try! Thanks in advance.

You dony rank at all but you are on page one via google local,  its no use having a title 'MAX Carpet & Upholstery Care - Your local, friendly, independent..'  it should be more like 'Max carpet Upholstery cleaners Wokingham, Reading, Berkshire'

Hi Guys

Ignore hits, they are not the same as page views.

When someone looks at your site it will register as say 2000 hits depending on it's size etc. what you are looking for is unique vistors, the more the merrier and yes it does work!

Cheers

Doug
