Ronnie I had a transit stolen about 15 years ago. 3 years later it was found on a pikey site. The police left it with the pikeys because they knew if they retrieved they'd just go out and nick another one.

In a sense, mentally, maybe it's time to give up on it and try your best to move on. Vehicle theft is very low on police priorities. Their main concern will be giving you a crime number, after that it's up to your insurance company.

Ronnie, would it pay you in the short term to get one of Peter Fogwills "Hotwash" systems to get you out of the crap?

I had a van nicked in 1994, just had it signwritten and paid £150 for a custom made roofrack to be specially fitted.

I was in a partnership at the time, and actually thought me partner had it at his house, as we used to share it.
It is a gut wrenching feeling lookin' out the window to see it aint there!
Only had it 3 weeks from a main dealer, though there was no system in it, just ladders and 2 buckets etc:.
It always made me wonder whether it was targeted or not, got a crime number off police, and they said the wheels will be sold, the diesel engine will be shipped to Pakistan (why Pakistan I don't know?) and the body will be crushed.

Yep, the police back then made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside on the day they told us that. it ended up we received a cheque eventually' worth about 8 grand, and had to start all over again.

Hope you get more success than I did Ronnie, and good luck.

Vehicle theft is very low on police priorities.

Except when they are looking for a 70 grand Porsche, with a Tracker system >:(  Thats nice and easy for them
