  My name is Mike Green and i will like to make an inquiry about cleaning of my newly purchased home,so get back to me if you do render this service and also i will like you to get back to me with your company details,phone number and complete address for more verification and let me know if you accept credit card for payment.
Looking forward to read from you soon,so that i can advice you further.

Its obviously an attempt at identity theft but just wanted to warn others about it.

That quite a sweeping conclusion to come to from that email alone especially considering all the information requested is available on 99.9% of company websites!

We used to get a lot of emails of that nature when doing domestic work from cautious people who wanted to be sure of the people they were going to entrust to come into their home - a little paranoid on their part maybe but a long way from obvious attempted identity theft!

seems fishy but i wouldn't label it is spam just yet. a simple reply saying this will be explained to you when we meet at your house would have done enough to find out if they're genuine or not

That's exactly what I've done gcs but I'm 99.9% sure its fishy, especially as the recipient is blank and my email address isn't on my website and despite the name being Mike Green I think its written by someone for whom english is not their first language.

If it turns out to be genuine I'll eat my mop
