Thinking of the cleaning pie, What would dry quicker on upholstery, a t/m with cold rinse, or a top range porty with high heat rinse. This snow is doing my head in.....obviously

5 seconds after the solution hits the fabric it's cold anyhow.....no matter if it comes from a T/M or a portable.
it's how much solution is left on the fabric not its initial temp' that will effect drying times.

Should have asked it better. Will hot water rinse from a porty give a better clean, then drying time, than a cold water rinse from a t/m if psi is the same.

in most cases. (all other thing being equal) then hot water will clean better than cold..... again no matter where it comes from.
most T/M only run on very low revs when cleaning upholstery, so vacuum wise a high-end portable will have the same vacuum as a T/M when cleaning upholstery.
