it was on our local news that somewhere up north was colder than  freezer  last night, thought that was what you were on about

the place the headline was about was altnaharra I think at -16.1 so no not as cold as your freezer squeaky, but it has been a lot colder than that in britain in the past, in fact last year there was some pretty low temps

by the way it was only -15 at the north pole last night

yes I know I seen that as well.

the coldest recorded areas of the uk were braemar and altneharra at 27.2 at different times I believe and a few years ago
