Well with the one i use it was minus 6 here last night and it would still be frozen if i put it a hour before i went to work be better all night.

Mine burns a yellow flame like any fire would?? smelly a tiny bit which is expectd but no soot

You need to buy parrafin also which will be there along with the heaters i imagine.
Dave.

Not with one of them paraffi heaters it won't be defrosted. I've had mine on for days in the van (before anything was frozen) and its all frozen up even with the heater on.

Hello All,

What about any of these, see link below;

http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?isSearch=true&fh_search=ceramic+heater&x=18&y=13.

I'm thinking about getting the one at the bottom of the page for £35.98.

As this was the only one in stock at the branch where I live.

Regards.

non of the heaters have worked in my van so i went for it and put a calor gas fire in the back. Everything is warm as toast, tank real everything. even the water in my tank has a slight warm feel to it.

I tried a paraffin greenhouse heater. Didn't even stop the pipes next to it freezing.

Ive just bought a 3kw honeywell fan heater from focus diy for £71.99. this really heats your van and it blows the hot air everywere. one of my vans froze over the weekend and this defrosted it in about an hour well worth the investment imo.

I didnt mean a little greenhouse heater , i meant a proper parafin heater .

it will boil your van , not a little candle wick heater.

This is the one i use to keep my RO warm but my RO is inside garage then inside a wooden box that i made, this is for cold night going to like minus 4-6 works fine keeps the box at around 5-8 c constantly in the night.

This burns with a yellow flame but i dont get any soot at all a slight smell but nofifng too bad so not sure what Ian actully ment altho those others are diffrent i think that crystal-clear linked up.
